IPL is suitable for all skin & hair types.
The device delivers light pulses onto the skin and wavelengths in the light target the dark pigment (melanin) found on skin and hair. The melanin around the hair root absorbs the heat from the light, destroying hair papilla which is part of the hair follicle involved in hair growth. The hair follicle that was being targeted will fall out in the subsequent hair cycle, usually in 1-2 weeks. Overtime, hair growth will reduce and stop completely after several treatments.
The treatment area will be subjected to light pulses from the device and organic aloe vera gel will be applied thereafter.
There will be a light tingly heat sensation when the light pulses are being delivered following by a soothing and cooling feel during the application of organic aloe vera gel.
The duration ranges from 15-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
Effectiveness depends on hair colour and follicle size. Usually, darker and/or thinner hair observe faster results. Clients normally begin to see results within 3 treatment sessions. However, we recommend 5-15 sessions for best results results, depending on the treatment intensity required for your skin and hair.
There is no side effect. However, slight redness might be observed right after the treatment which will fade quickly. The cooling aloe vera gel can also be used to soothe the area and calm the redness down.
Hair growth, hair width and hair quantity will be further reduced following each session will reduce further hair growth. Result will be permanent if you continue with maintenance sessions. For more effective results, avoid the sun for 1-2 weeks. If necessary, apply sunblock when exposed to sunlight.
